1. Conference venue

The conference will be organised at the Oude Vismijn in the historical city center of Ghent. This Medieval fish market has recently undergone major renovations and is now a place where history meets the present.

Getting there

By car

When entering Ghent, follow the P-route.
The Oude Vismijn is situated in the historical center of Ghent. The 4 parkings (purple markings) indicated on the map are very close to the venue (walking distance of 5 to 10 minutes !) By air

Belgium’s international airport is situated in Zaventem, on the outskirts of Brussels.
From Brussels Airport (Brussel Nationaal Luchthaven) it is possible to travel to Ghent by train. In the airport, follow the signs to the train station, which is below ground level. Buy a ticket for Ghent St-Pieters station at the counter. You can board the direct train to Ghent, or you can take the shuttle train to Brussels Central Station, which runs every 15 minutes. There, you can change to a train to Ghent. From Ghent St-Pieters station, you can take several buses and trams to the city centre. You can also fly to Brussels-Charleroi.
From Charleroi Airport, you can take the bus to Brussels Zuid/Midi station (a 45 minute ride), which runs every 30 minutes. From Zuid/Midi station you can get on the train to Ghent. Buy a ticket for Ghent St-Pieters station in the train station. There are usually three trains an hour to Ghent from Brussels. From Ghent St-Pieters station, you can take several buses and trams to the city centre. Information on trams and busses in Ghent can be found on the website of the Flemish transport company De Lijn

By train

Ghent St-Pieters is an IC station, meaning it is easily accessible from most major Belgian cities. When arriving at Ghent St-Pieters station, take streetcar (tramway) Line 1 in the direction of Evergem and get off at the Chateau des Comtes (Gravensteen). Time tables for the trains towards and from Ghent can be found on the website of the National Railway Company of Belgium (NMBS/SNCB). Entrance

Entrance to the venue is possible via large brown gate at Rekelingestraat 5 and not via Veerleplein (square opposite the Castle of the Counts)

2. Bioprint Core Facility venue

On Wednesday 21st of November 2018 the Bioprint Core Facility can be visited between 15h-19h.  Free registration is compulsary.

By tram

At St-Pieters Railway station, take streetcar (tramway) Line 4 in the direction of the UZ. Get off at the end station (Campus UZ Gent).
